But where can we start to adapt our home environments to the new season?
Decluttering
Decluttering and tidying up are the first steps to reorganizing your home. For example, you could put summer items away in boxes and containers and decorate your home with autumnal plants like heather and cyclamen, or with ornaments that reference the season's hot themes.
Your wardrobe also definitely needs a tidying up, so start by eliminating lighter, more holiday-inspired pieces in favor of seasonal pieces like sweatshirts, raincoats, cardigans, and long pants. Add a few accessories like hats and light scarves, and you're all set.

Organizing interior spaces
Goal: change the color palette. Let's leave summer tones behind and introduce warm, welcoming shades like natural colors like orange, brown, brick red, and mustard. But not only that, let's also choose fabrics carefully: linen and silk will return in June, while now we can opt for soft, enveloping fabrics like plaids and warm cotton.
Adding a rug in beige, brown, or caramel tones—perhaps a soft and fluffy one—makes the room even more welcoming and perfect for spending the first cool days.
Organizing outdoor spaces
Bring cold-sensitive plants indoors, or, if they're too large, protect them with protective covers. Cover any furniture on your balcony or in your garden with a waterproof cover to protect it from the cold and rain. With a few moisture-resistant cushions and the addition of fairy lights or lanterns, you can still enjoy a few mild evenings.
Air fresheners
In this season, it's always nice to enter a room and be enveloped by a lovely scent. Numerous brands have recently created home fragrance diffusers, both automatic and manual sprays. But nothing can quite create the same atmosphere as a beautiful candle, illuminating the space with a light, welcoming scent that makes spaces feel intimate and familiar.
